Computer Building Day 2
Hey team, today we talked about operating systems and processors. Don’t forget about the man in the box : )
Below I found the ‘best’ article I could covering the ‘basics’ of windows through the years. Please browse the article, you will need to know some tools that are only availble in each major windows release, and some of the changes that Microsoft made with each release. Sorry, but it’s required for the A+ I’ll try and make this easy.
Please also complete the case studies below. There are three situations, where will need to pick out a computer that fits the scenario appropriately.
You will also find the link to today’s presentation just for your reference.
Please research three different computers. Please find computers with different configurations of ram/hdd/processor etc. and justify why each computer would be a good pick for the given situation. Please use pre-built computers by major vendors for now.
Please come to next class with links to the three computers and a breif (paragraph explination) justifying your pics. Be ready to discuss with the class.
- Your grand-mother needs a new computer. She doesn’t have a ton of money, and really only wants to use the computer for email & facebook.
